June 2010, Hop Gallery Lewes

I have concentrated on small still life oil paintings. There are also larger paintings of lilies and some black white and ochre paintings, in acrylic, of a world in which unpredictable things, boats, are fixed and predictable elemants, suns and moons have become unmoored

National Open Art

This used to be The Chichester Open but must have thrown open its portals to the wider world. I am showing one picture and, since the competition was quite fierce, there’s reason to be pleased. The show, at the theatre in Chichester, begins on Saturday 8th NOvember

Cork Street Open

The Cork Sreet Open is a new exhibition planned to take place annually with a charitable object. This inaugural year the charity supported is Children with Aids. I’m taking two paintings up on Sunday, happy to have been shortlisted but also slightly dismayed to see just how long the shortlist is. Other work in The Riverside Gallery in Lewes apparently attracting positive comment but no sales. Negative comment and plenty of sales would be so good. Thanks to Ricard for patient website help.

The website is now open

Welcome to my new website and to my even newer blog. The bottle of champagne is crashing over the bows of the website to coincide with an art fair in London in which I am taking part. Details of that are on the exhibitions page. I’ve just spent the day hanging the show and plan to spend tomorrow (evening) drinking to its success. Hope to see you there.
